Fort Mill Care Center Upcoming Programs:

2012 Program

We would like to thank you for your support in previous years. Without the generous support of our community, none of these programs would be possible.

May

Saturday, May 12 is the annual Postal Carrier’s food drive.  Anyone with zip code 29707, 29708 or 29715 can leave non-perishable food by their mail box in time for their regular delivery that day and their mail carrier will bring it to the Fort Mill Care Center.

September:

Healthy Teeth Program. All clients, in the month of September, receive a new toothbrush for each member of their household and toothpaste. All donations of toothbrushes and toothpaste are appreciated.

October:

Girl Scout Food Drive will be Saturday, October  27th.  Scouts will leave notes and bags at the homes they will be collecting. This is the 11th year girl scouts have collected food for the Care Center. If anyone would like to donate, but a scout did not leave a note, we will have the Care Center open October 27 limited hours to receive food.

Santa’s Helper Program: Starting October , clients can sign up their children to receive Christmas gifts from willing sponsors. The sign ups will be To Be Announced

November:

Cub/ Boys Scouts: Date to be announce –  the Boy Scouts will be conducting a food drive for the Care Center. If you would like to donate but a scout did not leave a bag, the Care Center will be open from 10 a.m. to noon to receive food.

Thanksgiving Dinners. All clients can receive an extra bag of food containing the fixings for a Thanksgiving dinner. This food will be distributed on November 16th and 19th. The foods we try to include are whole chickens, small hams, turkeys, turkey breast, corn, peas, stuffing mix, instant potatoes, rice, cranberry sauce, pie fillings and cake mixes. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

December:

Christmas Dinners. All clients can receive an extra bag of food containing the fixings for a Christmas dinner. This food will be distributed on December 19th and 21st. We try to include the same type of food as the Thanksgiving dinner. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
